SHOTWITHANT STUDIOS
CREATIVE DESIGN BRIEF
This document isn’t designed to be boring or to make life difficult. It’s designed to help you
organise your thoughts and ideas so we have the creative grounds to make the perfect
design. It will serve as a communication benchmark for both of us. This is your way of
describing your best idea(s) to someone that has never interacted with it.
Your business logo is your brand's first impression. One that you’ll present to existing
and potential customers. If you aren’t excited about your brand or business and what it has
to offer then your clients and customers won’t be either. You are creating a visual language -
making a statement to all without speaking. It should speak for itself and make a lasting
Impression.
If you are a new client you should remember when you’re reviewing and completing this
design brief that I have no idea about your business or what you’d like me to design. You
need to make it as clear as possible, it should paint a picture. What are your reasons for
hiring me?
Imagine you are explaining what you want me to do face-to-face. What would you say and
what would you show me? Please try and complete as much as you can because “logo for
clothing brands needS to be cool for hats and shirts how much” isn’t sufficient nor professional.
We are working together so take your time to explain because we want the best results
not rushed results because they cost unnecessary time and money.
I understand that to new entrepreneurs this process is new so here are some tips that
might help. Start from the beginning: Who are you? What is your business? Why are you
starting this business? Who is the brand aimed at? What has inspired this business idea? What
message are you sending to customers?
If you would like to see an example of an insightful and detailed design brief so you can get
a better understanding then I’m happy to share one with you. Any further questions you may
have, please send them to me direct at SHOTWITHANT@GMAIL.COM
I understand this is a lot of information but I’d hate for there to be a lack of detail and communication
and for you to be disappointed with your investment. I can only do my best based on these details.
So let’s get started!
